Our Policies

We appreciate your business! 


Policies - Please review 


We do not guarantee a specific arrival time due to the unique nature of each set up and number of greetings booked each day. This is not a 24-hour rental so your greeting will go in at night and be removed the next night after the time specified on your invoice.


April 1st-October 31st, we install signs starting at 6pm and can sometimes go as late as 12am .


Sign rental guaranteed until 8PM unless upgrades have been purchased.


November 1st-March 31st- we install signs starting at 6pm and can sometimes go as late as 12am .


Sign rental guaranteed until 7pm unless upgrades have been purchased.


$10 winter fee is added to all invoices.


We do not guarantee any specific colors or graphics. The list you provide does not guarantee that everything will go into the sign. If there is something that is very important, PLEASE TELL US. We will do our best to accommodate. The colors and likes are suggestions for us to design your sign. We have nothing licensed as we follow all copyright laws.   


We respectfully reserve the right to decline a delivery area that we feel may be unsafe for our signs or ourselves. We will contact you if this situation arises. We do not install signs in backyards and someone in the home needs to know we will be on the property. 


Payment is required at the time of booking. You are not guaranteed a sign display unless it is paid for. We ask that all invoices are paid within 24 hours of being sent so that we can add you to our calendar. Rush fees may be added.


During the winter we sometimes have issues with the ground surface freezing. You will be asked to check the yard and be given instructions how to do so. If you verify that the ground is soft and it is not when we arrive, we will do our best ti get the sign in. No refunds will be given. If you have a sprinkler system, please tell us. Also, if the ground gets too frozen (as it did during the polar vortex) or the temps drop too low we might need to cancel the greeting, but we will issue a full refund. We will contact you if this happens.


WATERING-Most of the year the yards become extremely dry. Before the installation we will send out watering notices as a reminder, but it is up to you to remember to get the ground ready for installation. A sprinkler must water a 20ft by 6ft open area of the lawn for at least two hours in the early evening. (Starting at 4pm) You can also stick a screwdriver in the yard AFTER watering to make sure that it can go down 6 inches easily into the ground. If not, please keep watering. Ideally it is best to water a day or two up to the delivery and then the day of installation. If we get to a yard and it has not been watered - following our directions, or we cannot get the stakes in, we will NOT issue a refund. We can tell immediately if a yard has not been watered correctly or if at all. You must use a sprinkler. Hand watering with a hose does not work. By paying this invoice you acknowledge that watering the greeting area must be done for the signs to be installed and that not doing so may result in not receiving your greeting and you waive your right to a refund. Also do not count on the rain to do it  for you. If you question if you should water, reach out to us and we can advise. 


At any time during the greeting we reserve the right to come and pick up the greeting if the weather becomes such that the signs will get damaged. This can happen during strong winds but does not happen very often. We will text you if we feel it gets to the point we must come and pick it up. No refund is given for early removal. 


On the day of install we will send out a confirmation via text.  We will verify the greeting and the address.  If the address is confirmed incorrectly and the sign goes on the wrong property, we will either pick up the greeting and not reinstall (no refund issued) or we will move to the correct yard for a service fee (base upon delivery area and availability of an installer).


Someone in the household MUST BE NOTIFIED that we will be on the property. It is your responsibility to forward all communication from us to them. We do not do “surprises”. Also they must know this is a rental and we will be back to remove the sign.


For the safety of everyone, especially children, please DO NOT allow anyone to play on or around the sign display. Our items WILL NOT safely support the weight of a child or adult leaning, sitting or playing on it. We will not be held liable for injuries or damage due to children or adults playing on or near our yard sign displays.


Please DO NOT attach balloons to any part of the display. Balloons get hot in the sun. If a hot balloon blows against our signs, our sign may become damaged.


We will photograph your sign for use on our website, Instagram and/or Facebook page.


If you have any pets, please make sure they are inside or contained for the entire duration that the signs are up. You will be responsible for signs ruined by your pets. Please make sure that there is no animal waste in the yard. If we find any animal waste, we will stop installing the greeting and no refund will be offered. We must kneel and walk all around the yard in the dark.   


Do not move, mow, edge around or take down the yard sign display. If you have a lawn service, you must inform them of this policy or cancel your lawn service while the sign is in the yard. A cleaning fee (Minimum $75+) will be issued if grass clippings are on signs. Signs damaged from weed eaters or mowing will result in charges to the renter. Also, please make sure your sprinkler system is turned off while signs are in the yard. High powered spray can damage the signs. While we encourage you to pose next to the display for photographs, do not pull the signs from the ground or off the stake.


Please do not remove our signs from your lawn for any reason. If they need to be taken down early, let us know and we will take care of it.


We cannot put our signs in pea gravel, concrete, mulch, flower beds, thick landscaping, hard packed soil that has been used as a driveway for example, etc. We erect signs on lawns and define lawns as dirt with grass on the top. We reserve the right to place the greeting where we feel it would be best placed.  If you would like a specific place, please contact us prior to installation.  If we must move the greeting and have received no instruction prior to installation there will be a $50 move fee (while we are on premises).


Sign Gypsies and all representatives are not responsible or liable for any injury or damage that may be caused to any person or personal property during the setup or removal of any rental.


All signs are property of Sign Gypsies; you are responsible for any damage or theft. By paying this invoice you acknowledge the sign is a rental and take responsibility.


We will not be able to set up if there is extreme frozen ground, lightning, low and negative temps or severe hazardous weather. We will contact you in these instances. If we are unable to set up your greeting because of severe weather, you will receive a full refund.


If you must cancel your yard greeting, you will receive a refund minus $50 and the square fee that is charged to us if your yard sign is canceled 8 days before the install date. Anything canceled within 7 days of installation will only receive a 50% refund.


We will place a small sign in your yard with our company contact information. This sign is unobtrusive and lets the neighbors know where “they can get one.” Please do not move it or hide it. If you choose not to have it in the yard, a $10.00 fee will be applied. Please let us know before we install the sign. If any of our signs are moved or removed including our ad sign, we will send you a $75 invoice. These signs are our property, and you agree to follow all rules while the signs are in your care. By paying this invoice you acknowledge that you take full responsibility for our signs. Should anything go missing, damaged, stolen, moved, you accept full responsibility financially and agree to pay full price for replacements.
