
Our Policies
We do not guarantee a specific arrival time due to the unique nature of each set up and number of greetings booked each day. We are normally there between 7/8 pm and 2 am. This is not a 24 hour rental so you greeting will go in at night and be removed the next night after the time specified on your invoice. If it says after 7 pm count on your greeting being picked up between 7 and 8 pm. If it says 8 pm count on your greeting being picked up between 8 pm and 9 pm.
We do not guarantee any specific colors or graphics. The list you provide does not guarantee that everything will go into the sign. If there is something that is very important PLEASE TELL US. We will do our best to accommodate. We have nothing licensed as we follow all copy right laws.
We respectfully reserve the right to decline a delivery area that we feel may be unsafe for our signs or staff. We will contact you if this situation arises.
Payment is required at the time of booking. Spots are held for 24 hours after invoice is issued. If not paid you are no longer guaranteed your spot.
During the winter we sometimes have issues with the ground surface freezing. Most of the time we can get them in but sometimes we might need to drill to just break the surface of ice. If you have a sprinkler system please tell us. Also, if the ground gets too frozen ( as it did during the polar vortex) or the temps drop too low we might need to cancel the greeting but we will issue a full refund.
During the summer the yards can become extremely dry. Before the instal we will send our watering notices. In order to get the ground ready for instal we need a sprinkler put on a 20 foot by 6 foot open area of the lawn for at least two hours. You can also stick a screwdriver in the yard after watering to make sure that if can go down four inches easily into the ground. If not please keep watering. Ideally it is best to water a day or two up to the delivery also. If we get to a yard and it has not been watered and we cant not get the stakes in we will not issue a refund.
At anytime during the greeting we reserve the right to come and pick up the greeting if the weather becomes such that the signs will get damaged. This can happen during strong winds but does not happen very often. We will text you if we feel it gets to the point we must come and pick it up.
* On the day of install we will send out a confirmation via text. We will verify the greeting and the address. If the address is confirmed incorrectly and the sign goes on the wrong property we will either pick up the greeting and not reinstall (no refund issued) or we will move to the correct yard for a service fee (base upon delivery area and availability of an installer).
Someone in the household MUST BE NOTIFIED that we will be on the property. If this is a surprise delivery, we may be there early morning or evening, please advise them to leave a light on for us outside, so we can identify the address easily.
For the safety of everyone, especially children, please DO NOT allow anyone to play on or around the sign display. Our items WILL NOT safely support the weight of a child or adult leaning, sitting or playing on it. We will not be held liable for injuries or damage due to children or adults playing on or near our yard sign displays.
Please DO NOT attach balloons to any part of the display. Balloons get hot in the sun. If a hot balloon blows against our signs, our sign may become damaged.
We will photograph your sign for use on our website, Instagram and/or Facebook page.
If you have any pets, please make sure they are inside or contained for the entire duration that the signs are up. You will be responsible for signs ruined by your pets. Please make sure that there is no animal waste in the yard. If there is we will cancel greeting and no refund will be offered. We have to kneel and walk all around the yard in the dark.
While we encourage you to pose next to the display for photographs, do not pull the signs from the ground. Do not move, mow, edge around or take down the yard sign display. If you have a lawn service, you must inform them of this policy. Any damage to signs will result in charges to the renter.
Please do not remove our signs from your lawn for any reason. If they need to be taken down early, let us know and we will take care of it.
We cannot put our signs in pea gravel, concrete, mulch, flower beds, thick landscaping, hard packed soil that has been used as a driveway for example, etc. We erect signs on lawns and define lawns as dirt with grass on the top. We reserve the right to place the greeting where we feel it would be best placed. If you would like a specific place please contact us prior to install. If we have to move the greeting and have received no instruction prior to install there will be a $50 move fee ( while we are on premises).
Sign Gypsies and all representatives are not responsible or liable for any injury or damage that may be caused to any person or personal property during the setup or removal of any rental.
All signs are property of Sign Gypsies, you are responsible for any damage.
We will not be able to set up if there is extreme frozen ground, lightning, or severe hazardous weather. We will contact you in these instances. If we are unable to set up your greeting because of severe weather, you will receive a full refund.
If you must cancel your yard greeting you will receive a refund of the purchase price less a $25.00 booking fee as long as it is canceled at least 72 hours before installation. Anything canceled within 72 hours of install will not receive a refund. We will allow signs to be rescheduled prior to 72 hours before install based on our availability. If your new spot is not available we will refund minus a $25.00 booking fee. Anything rescheduled in less than 72 hours before the original install date will incur a $25.00 re-booking fee.
We will place a small sign in your yard with our company contact information. This sign is unobtrusive and lets the neighbors know where they can get one. Please do not move or hide it.
